Education is a Hopeful Activity
Uncas Elementary offers educational programs that align with the Alberta Education Elementary curriculum. With a focus on small classes and differentiation, student learning needs are met through a variety of educationally sound programs. Balanced Literacy, Comprehensive Literacy, Early Reading Intervention and learning assistance are just a few examples of how we meet student needs. Students who require extra assistance in programming may be placed on an Individual Program Plan (IPP). Our programs support and enhance Elk Island Public Schools goals for learning. Uncas school is currentlly focussing on Inquiry, Assessment and Character Education. In our community of learners education truly is a hopeful activity.
We are pleased to be able to provide daily physical education for each student and French As a Second Language (FSL) to division II students. We are proud of our excellent music program and the opportunities we offer to students to pursue art and cultural endeavours.
